About the AHPA

The Almond Hullers & Processors Association (AHPA) is a business association for almond hullers, shellers, and processors organized to promote the business interests of its members. AHPA is a non-profit organization that was established in 1980 to serve almond industry members in a capacity that isn’t available through any other organization.

The primary purpose of the organization is to initiate, sponsor, promote, and carry out research and educational programs, plans, policies, and activities that will assist its members to improve the quality of almonds and almond by-products. AHPA research and education programs foster higher degrees of efficiency in the hulling, shelling, processing, and marketing of almonds. AHPA also advocates on behalf of the California Almond Industry on regulatory issues impacting our members ensuring that they are able to operate as efficiently as possible in the ever-changing regulatory environment.

Our current membership represents over 90% of the almonds processed in California. While we have strong domestic membership we also have a number of international members making our organization and network global. AHPA provides a forum for business networking that facilitates relationships between our regular members, who are almond hullers/shellers and processors and our associate members who provide services used by our regular membership to ensure that our regular members are receiving access to the latest technology and services that enable them to conduct their businesses as efficiently as possible.
