Advocated the “Ag Rate” tariff option for hullers and processors through written comments to the CPUC and by signing onto AECA support letters.
Supported AB 426 (Cardoza), the Ag sales tax exemption, advocated inclusion of major SIC codes 07 for inclusion on the full/partial sales tax exemption for hullers and the diesel sales tax exemption for processors and proposed that “nut hullers” be inserted in BOE regulations specifying hullers in the exemption definitions.
